bats are nocturnal mammals that use echolocation through darkness to find nourishment & connection. they are grossly misunderstood and often feared by humans and yet they are a cornerstone species of the planet that helps to pollinate to create food for many species. they also eat insects and therefore reduce need for pesticides on crops and the need for chemical repellant on our skin. because of their hard work in the dark the world and all beings benefit.
bat energy as a microdeath practice shows up in the ways we intentionally challenge ourselves. doing our own shadow work serves to awaken and strengthen our own hearts and therefore betters our homes, communities and those we interact with.
bat microdeath practices: shadow work, journeying with plant medicine, psychedelic assisted therapy, hormetic stress practices (extreme temp --ice plunge/sauna, breathwork) physical challenges (weight loss, exercise, movement)
butterflies undergo a process of transformation that completely changes their physical appearance, capabilities and entire earthly experience. they do not choose to go through this transformation-- it is simply what happens. the body of a caterpillar turns to utter goo inside the chrysalis. in this coccoon the caterpillar is separated from the rest of the world while it eats its own goo for nourishment, grows wings and emerges a miracle of strength, able to lift out of and off from what once bound it.
butterfly energy as a microdeath practice shows up in the challenges that we do not plan for ourselves. it arrives as a death, a diagnosis, a change or loss that drops us to our knees. it begs the question, what work are you doing in your cocoon? are you able to turn the goo of the situation into something that can nourish and heal you?
butterfly microdeath practices: deeply examining your cocoon, intentional healing, visualization practices, discovering strength in vulnerability, boundary work, opening to transformation, welcoming a redesign
bees are pollinators whose work translates into medicine and food for their colonies. the fruit of their work billows out to many billions of other creatures that benefit from nourishment, healing properties and sweet delights. bees gather for the wellbeing of the hive. they do not keep things for themselves. they are creators, producers, messengers and in many traditions they serve in communicating in the spirit realm through birth and death.
bee energy as a microdeath practice involves sharing medicine for the betterment of the planet. it's about offering your vibration to those who would benefit in the form of knowledge, experience, financial, or volunteer support-- even though it might be uncomfortable (that's what makes it a microdeath practice). it's about speaking out to your community about the hardships of your life and how you transformed it into medicine that produced healing. (remember, not all medicine tastes good!)
bee microdeath practices: sharing your story to promote healing, activism work, birthing a "new you," gathering the information or the "bounty" and freely sharing, reparations, donating money, volunteering, ancestral work, hosting safe spaces for beings to heal, serving other beings as if serving a the universe itself
